Documentation coordinator

30 November 2007 — 1-minute read

I’m very pleased to announce that Tyler Bird has been selected to coordinate the documentation for Capistrano. I appreciate (very much!) all of you that volunteered for this.

Tyler has got his work cut out for him, here, but he’s eager to tackle the job, and I look forward to seeing what comes out of it. I’ll post more details as I get them; I just wanted to let everyone know that a coordinator has been selected, at last.

I just wanted to thank Jamis for this opportunity to contribute to a great open source project. As I begin to reach out to the other volunteers I hope they will join me in my enthusiasm to produce some great documentation.

If anyone is still interested in contributing, or wants to send me articles from their blog they’ve written for Capistrano please feel free to email me directly.

Woo! This is sorely needed and will help soooooo many rails developers. Very exciting indeed.

Jamis, How might I go about dropping you an email?

Awesome, I had an interest in helping, but just not the time to commit to coordinating. Tyler is a member of Tampa.rb, so I’m sure we can get the whole group involved a bit- hmmm, sounds like a potential topic for next weeks meeting.

” I just wanted to let everyone know that a coordinator has been selected, at last. “

And that is indeed a nice thing!

Why don’t we have an official Capistrano wiki so people can contribute documentation while the official one is being written?
